Rev. Park was born the second child of four (1 older sister and 2 younger sisters) to Woo Yang Park (father) and Chun Bo Lim (mother) on August 19, 1927 in Korea.
Rev. Park passed peacefully among family and friends at his home. Rev. Seung Do Park graduated from Denver Seminary in May of 1964. He began the Korean American United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs, CO on March 30, 1982 where he remains the Founding Pastor.
During his ministry at Korean American United Methodist Church, he was also a volunteer Chaplin for Memorial Hospital. After his retirement in 1996 from Korean American United Methodist Church, he revived the Lawton Korean United Methodist Church in Lawton, OK. After leaving the Lawton Korean United Methodist Church in August of 2004, Rev. Park further carried God's Word by going to Guam for mission work, and also founded the Guam Korean American United Methodist Church.
Rev. Park is survived by his wife Sun Park; his sons Eun S. Park, Heon S. Park; and daughter Eun H. Kim and Wesley Kim his son-in-law; Grandchildren Chan H. Park, and Chan M. Park.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 06, 2008 from 5 - 8 p.m., and the funeral service was held on Saturday, June 07, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Both services will be held at Korean American United Methodist Church, 4550 N. Carefree Circle, in Colorado Springs.
