Stevens was a marketing manager at a dating service called "Perfect Match" and Nourn was a telemarketer there. She saw Barker's profile on the internet and they were in an intense relationship even though he was a 35 yr old married man and she was 18 yrs old. She went on a date with Stevens, Barker found out and she told him that Stevens raped her.

She then lured Stevens to meet "her brother" Barker.
