Mrs. Syphronia May Pope Chaney, 65 years old resident of 473 S Union St, died Feb 16, 1966 at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital Thursday night.
The body was taken from Hartselle Funeral Home in Concord, Sumter County, Georgia to Turner Funeral Home in Decatur, DeKalb County, Georgia. The funeral will be held Saturday in Decatur.
Mrs. Chaney was a native of Tennessee, daughter of the Late John and Martha Shipley-Pope.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Richard Chaney Sr. three daughters, Mrs. Carol Fellows of Decatur, DeKalb County, Georgia and Dorothy and Theodore Sanders of Raleigh, Meriwether County, Georgia, two sons, Clifford Richard Chaney Jr. of Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia and Jack Edward Chaney of Way Cross, Ware County, Georgia.
