Friends here were made sad by the death of Mrs. John Bartholomew, who passed away on Monday, June 28, at the home of her son, Marion, in Beatrice. Mrs. Bartholomew was a long-time resident of Pawnee county and resided with her husband in Burchard several years, going to make her home with her son about three years ago following the death of Mr. Bartholomew. A host of friends here mourn her death and extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Funeral services were held at Beatrice Wednesday afternoon and burial was by the side of her husband in the Pawnee City cemetery.
