LESLIE LITTLE DIES OF PNEUMONIA

It was sad and unexpected news that came to Wittenberg when the information was sent here from Janesville that Leslie Little died in a hospital in that city Saturday morning of pneumonia. With him at the time of his death was his mother, Mrs. Addie Little, of Appleton, his father. C.M. Little, of this village, and his sister, Marjorie Little, of Janesville.

The remains were sent here Saturday night and the funeral took place Tuesday afternoon with services at the old Little homestead in the town of Morris, where he was born, and with interment in Forest Home Cemetery. Rev. Wallschlaeget, of Appleton, officiated and the choir of the Methodist church assisted with singing.

Leslie Little was born in the town of Morris January 30, 1895. He was a graduate of the Wittenberg high school and attended the Oshkosh Normal for a while. He was a rural mail carrier on route No. 2 for a few years [he took over for his mother]. After that he spent some time in Racine and Waukesha, taking up and perfecting himself in mechanical draftmanship. Since last August he was employed in the big Samson Tractor Works in Janesville and was climbing fast in the line of his chosen work. He had recently been promoted to the position of overseer of mechanical drafting and had his salary increased to $200 a month. That he was steady, industrious, thrifty and lacking bad habits, what they say of him in Janesville, is exactly in line with what people thought of him here, and the folks of the young man have in his untimely death the sincere sympathy of all their friends. Besides his parents, he leaves to mourn him six sisters, namely, Clara (Mrs. Clark), of Seattle, Wash., Lillie (Mrs. Will Hull), town of Morris, Esther (Mrs. Edw. Krueger), of Appleton, Olive (Mrs. Frank Harvey), town of Morris, Merle (Mrs. Delbert Smith), town of Franzen, and Marjorie, who, in the capacity of stenographer, has a position in the Samson Works, where he was employed.
