He was the son of Chester Allbaugh & Ava Grace Crosson & the brother of Welma Allbaugh Enfield.

OBITUARIES
WARREN K. ALLBAUGH
Warren K. Allbaugh, 71, of 1915 40th St., died of a heart ailment Monday at Des Moines General Hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Allbaugh was born in Dudley and had lived in Eddyville and Oskaloosa before moving to Des Moines in 1946. He retired in 1983 as Adjutant quartermaster of Iowa VFW and previously worked for the tax division for the State of Iowa. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of WWII. He served on the Governor's Commission to honor returning Iowa Prisoners of War and on the Governor's Task Force Commission on Hiring Veterans.
He was a former chairman and board member of Veterans Memorial Auditorium and served on the Iowa Veterans Affairs Commission. He was past district VFW Commander, past Polk Co. adjutant quartermaster, State VFW Commander in 1962-1963, and past commander for VFW Post 3626. He was former secretary-treasurer of the Iowa Veterans Council. He was treasurer of the Vietnam Memorial committee, was a member of the Korean Monument committee, and was a life member of DAV Baldwin Patterson American Legion Post 274, VFW National Home For Children in Eaton Rapids, Mich., and VFW Beaverdale Post 9127.
Survivors include his wife, Lelah; a stepson, L.D. Mercer of Chicago, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Jerri Byers of Ogden, Utah; a sister, Welma Enfield of Des Moines; and a step-grandchild.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes/Iowa affiliate, Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown or the National VFW Home in Eaton Rapids, Mich.
