Voice Actress. Although she acted in television roles in the 1950s, she is best known for her work as an animated cartoon voice actress, most notably providing the voice for ‘Wilma Flintstone’ in the Hanna-Barbara cartoon “The Flintstones”. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, her family relocated to Los Angeles, California in the 1930s. After voice work on the radio and television appearances, she started voicing animation starting with the cartoon “Yogi Bear”, and through the 1960s and 1970s lent her voice to over 15 different successful cartoon franchises. She started voicing ‘Wilma Flintstone’ in 1960, and would continue to provide her voice for the character until the 1990s. She passed away at Dana Point, California in 1999.
