EVANS – Betty Jayne (Clawson), 63, went to be with her Lord Feb. 23, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 31, 1947, in Johnstown, daughter of Clyde and Betty (Sievers) Clawson. Preceded in death by father, Clyde Sr. Survived by mother, Betty; husband, Robert V.; son, James, Johnstown; daughter, Wendy, wife of Jason Maldet, Hollsopple; and grandchildren, James Jr., Harley, Alexzander and Willow. Sister of Clyde, and wife, Sally (Steepe), Johnstown; Fred, and wife, Carol (Geisel), Maryland; Ken, and wife, Patty (Chambers), Illinois; Robert, and wife, Dorothy (Evans), Johnstown; Emilie, wife of Dwight Hinton, Illinois; and John, and wife, Linda (Harshberger), Johnstown. Also survived by brother-in-law, George Evans, Johnstown. Member of Life Church, formerly Windber Church of God. Mrs. Evans was a 1964 graduate of Johnstown High School, formerly employed by Royal Plate Glass and Association for the Blind. Currently employed by MetLife Insurance Co. She was vice president of Heart to Heart Ladies Group Shut-ins Ministry. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Geisel Funeral Home, Dale. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Geisel-Devlin Memorial Chapel, Pastor Rick Smith. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
