On the 1850 Marion County, Ky Census, she is listed as Eliza Abell, a 40 year old, Ky native, living with her husband, James Abell, and children, Elizabeth E., Neely, Mary, Emily J., James B., Henry, Jefferson and Harriet E. Abell.

*Buried in the old Holy Name of Mary Cemetery, Calvary, KY.Eliza A. (Raley) Abell was born in 1809 to Henry and Mary (Stone) Raley. Eliza A. was baptized June 4, 1810 by Father Charles Nerinckx at Holy Name of Mary Church, Calvary, marion County, Kentucky. The godparents were Joseph Spalding and Dorothy Raley.

She was the ward of Cornelius Raley when she married James Abell, 1809-1876, son of Enoch and Elizabeth (Pierceall) Abell, bond Oct. 28, 1828, Surety, Cornelius Raley, Washington County, Kentucky--see Marriage Book II, page 126 in the Washington County Clerk's Office in Springfield, Kentucky.

She and James were the parents of at least: Mary Elizabeth (Abell) Mattingly, 1829-1895; Cornelius "Neely" Abell, 1832-xxxx; Mary (Abell) Lee, 1834-1913, Emily Jane Abell, 1836-xxxx; James Buford Abell, 1838, Henry Abell, 1841-1917; Jefferson "Jeff" Abell, 1844-xxxx; and Hariett E. Abell, 1849-xxxx.

Eiza A. (Raley) Abell died March 2, 1851 and was buried in the Old (Pioneer) Holy Name of Mary Cemetery.
