According to the researcher this is a very old cemetery and at the time the readings were done ca. 1978 many stones were gone and the remaining were difficult to read. The oldest legible stone found was for Sarah Clevenger who died 3 DEC 1846
When John McKnight Trowbridge was born on February 1, 1825, his father, Joseph, was 27 and his mother, Mary, was 24. He had three brothers. He died on September 8, 1903, in Delaware County, Indiana, having lived a long life of 78 years.
(Ruamah was his stepmother....Joseph was married first to Mary Chancey and had four sons)
