William gave a Bible to "his sister Lizzie Wiseman" in May of 1876. Abigail Elizabeth Cherry Wiseman was his sister-in law. I believe she and her husband, Samuel Wiseman, brought up Luda as his mother died when he was just about 4 months old. Census has Luda living with them when he was 8.
1880 Illinois, City of Chicago Census shows them living on Lexington St. Lists wife Lida, daughters Maude and Nelly. Occupation is bookkeeper.
1910 Illinois, City of Chicago Census shows living at 432 W. 67th St.. Lists occupation as advertising agent for railroad. Children Nellie, William M. and Meredythe are listed.
1920 Illinois, City of Chicago Census shows daughter Nellie living with him and shows occupation as a solicitor for a printing company.
1930 Illinois, City of Evanston Census shows daughter Nellie still living with him, along with a servant
