Mattie Holmes married Willie Rials on 25 Oct. 1896 in his father's home in Old Bismark, Lawrence Co, Miss.

They had the following children:
Lee Ellis, Sally Gertrude, Gussie Emma, John Cleon, Vera Ann, Benjamin "Frank"lin, Hazel Christine, Lucy "Gladys", Grady Ford, Theo Frances, and Guy Leyton RIALS.

All were reared in their only family home in Jayess, Lawrence Co., Miss.

The later years she lived with her daughter, Theo Frances Rials Bryan in Baton Rouge, La. And yes, she lived until the age 101.
