WILLIAM ROCKWELL LEE, 86, of Homewood section of Horry County, S.C. died Saturday, Nov. 19, 1960 at home of a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Harris, after a long illness.
Mr. Lee was born in the Buck Creek section of Horry County, Dec. 16, 1873, a son of the late Isaac and Selena Wright Lee, his wife, Mrs. Modora Hardee Lee, died Dec. 27, 1959. Before moving to the Homewood section 21 years ago, he had lived and farmed in Simpson Creek community.
Surviving ason, Dayton Lee, of Georgetown; three daughters, Mrs. Stanly Stevens, of Star Rt. 5, Conway, Mrs. Ben Lee, of Rt 1 Conway and Mrs. Oscar Harris, of Rt. 1 Conway, a sister; Mrs. Emily Boyd, of Rt. 4 Loris, a half brother; Hiram Lee, of Rt. 2 Loris, five half sisters, Mrs. Sara Todd, of Rt. 4 Loris, Mrs. Mylie Bellamy and Mrs. Martha Bellamy both of Rt. 2 Loris, Mrs. Fanny Stevens of Rt. 1 Conway, and Mrs. Isla Matthews ofStar Rt. 5 Conway, 19 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
