Maggie King
LORIS-Services for Maggie Cater King, 96, were held Tuesday in Simpson Creek primitive Baptist Church with burial in Carter Cemetery, directed by Hardwick Funeral Home of Loris. Mrs. King died Jan. 23 at the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center following an illness. Born in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Johnson and Sallie Bellamy Carter. She was the widow of Delton Thomas King. Mrs. King was a homemaker and a member of Simpson Creek Baptist Church. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Delton King. Surviving are two sons, T. Bert King of Columbia and Carroll B. King of Leesville; six daughters, Allene Able of Saluda, Andreanna Holland of Charlotte, NC, Iris Huggins of Huntsville, AL, Margare Lee of Atlanta, GA and Gloria Reaves of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Mabel Gilbert of Wilmington, NC and Jasmine Bernardo of Ft. Myers, FL; 33 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Memorial may be made to Simpson Creek Primitive Baptist church Building Fund….
