Ida Garrison

SPRINGFIELD — A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield for Ida "Pearl" Garrison of Springfield, who died March 16 of age-related causes. She was 85.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She was born June 25, 1925, in Cornelia, Ga., to Joseph and Allie Patton O'Donald.

She worked at Agripac, formerly known as Eugene Fruit Growers, for 30 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Rachel "Rocky" Green of Springfield; two brothers, Albert O'Donald and Lewis O'Donald, both of Pickens, S.C.; five sisters, Eula Hall of Six Mile, S.C., Bulah Crumpton of Greenville, S.C.; and Ann Cox, Martha Aiken and Annette McGathey, all of Easley, S.C.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Her first husband, William Gray, died in 1990. Her second husband, James Garrison, died in 2004.

Burial will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
