MORTON - Elvina M. Guengerich, 93, of Morton died at 3:34 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in the emergency room at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born July 15, 1917, in Morton to Edward and Lena (Behrends) Aberle. She married Christian A. Guengerich on Dec. 10, 1939, in Washington. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1983.
She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Darrin Edward Earley.
Surviving are one daughter, Janice M. (David) Earley of Annawan, Ill.; three grandsons, Donald (Darcy) Earley, Vernon Earley and Timothy (Beth) Earley; three great-grandsons, Austin, Aiden and Alec Earley; two brothers, Lester Aberle and Ronald (Rozanne) Aberle, both of Morton; and one sister, Ethel Finley of Goodfield.
A homemaker, Elvina was a charter member of Advent Lutheran Church in Morton.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Advent Lutheran Church in Morton, with the Rev. Dennis O'Brien officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Further visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
