Vicki was born in Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of George and Violet Howard. She graduated from Muskegon High School, and later married and moved to Marshfield, Wisconsin. She raised three children, and always had a special place in her heart for animals. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She courageously battled cancer for four years, and passed away peacefully at the hospital in Marshfield with her loved ones at her side. She is survived by her children, Corrie Ann (Ron) Gotter of Marshfield, WI, Adam George Balkema of Noble, OK, and Shelby Lynn (Carl Randall) Melton of Marshfield, WI; nine grandchildren; her parents, George and Violet Howard of McFarland, WI; a sister, June (John) Moldstad of McFarland, WI; and a brother, Robin (Barbara) Howard of Whitehall, MI; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved pets, Goby, Ivan, Maggie, Ali, Reebok and Oliver. A memorial service was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Steven's Point, Wisconsin.
