Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 27, 2011. Age 54 years.
The son of the late Rolland James and Suzanne Elaine (Vansickle) Sprunger was born December 20, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan.
He married Kim K. Knepper, April 2, 1978. She survives him.
He owned and operated the Smoker's Club in Mt. Pleasant, MI. He served as president of the M.T.S.O.K. and vice president of the I.A.S.P.C. David enjoyed Dirt Track Racing, sponsoring many drivers, cars and an entire class of Street Stock cars at Crystal Motor Speedway and Mt. Pleasant Motor Speedway. He especially loved his cats.
Surviving besides his wife, Kim, are a daughter, Melody Moore and her friend, Jaramia Richards; three grandchildren, Angelica Moore, Victoria Moore, Johnathon Williams; his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Gail Sprunger; many nieces, nephews and Darrell Moore whom he thought of as a son.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel in Merrill. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel in Merrill from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
