Mr. Luther Gentry Park, age 95, of Parks Road, passed away Saturday December 27, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Park was born November 4, 1913 in Surry County to Luther C. and Laura Gentry Park.
Mr. Park retired from Wayne's Farm Hatchery and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Park; two sisters, Beulah Woodruff and Ruth Harmon; two brothers, Winfield Park and John Park.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold Park and wife, Linda of Ronda, Jerry Park and wife, Nellie of Elkin; three daughters, Gabrielle Cass and husband, Donald of Clemmons, Lois Corder and husband, Tommy of Wilmington, Janice Guyer and husband, John of Glen Allen, VA; seven grandchildren, LaDonna Fuller, Jeffery Park, Heather Mack, Wesley Corder, Jennifer Guyer, Matt Guyer, and Josh Fuller; seven great-grandchildren, Cass Ferguson, Chris Park, Ashlyn Park, Griffin Mack, Cameron Fuller, Regan Mack, and Kaden Fuller.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday December 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church by the Rev. Jonah Parker and the Rev. Wesley Smith.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
