Nettie A. Hatch is the daughter of John Harris Hatch and Edith Gertrude White. Nettie married Orrin Wilder Marston on August 23, 1917 in Jonesboro, Maine. Orrin and Nettie had seven children.
Nettie A. Marston, 94, wife of the late Orrin W. Marston, died March 24, 1988, at a Machias health Care facility after a long illness. She was born at Jonesboro, Aug. 28, 1893, the daughter of Harris and Gertrude (White) Hatch.
She was a member of the RLDS Church, Machias Branch.
She is survived by three sons, Carroll W. Marston of Machias, Ernest E. Marston of Harrington and Colon O. Marston of Machias; four daughters, Ardith Hurlbert of Whitneyville, Phyllis Preston of Roque Bluffs, Della Best of Bowie, MD, and Bernice Bowers of Machias; 21 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by two daughters, Edith and Gertrude.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 pm Saturday at Gardner Funeral Home, Machias. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday at the RLDS Church, Machias, with Elder Austin Marston officiating.
