He was a member of the Ty-Rods Car Club since 1975, the Yankee Chapter Antique Motorcycle Club of America, the Antique Motorcycle Club of America; was creator and promoter of Viking Productions Motorcycle Show and Swap Meet for the past 18 years, and was an avid collector of motorcycles and classic cars.
Jim is survived by his mother, Phyllis (Watson) Draghi and her husband, Peter of East Windsor; his father, James E. Darby, Sr. and his wife, Cynthia of Niantic and Vero Beach, FL; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Suzanne D. and Frank Bedell of Glastonbury, Deborah L. and John Bailey of Columbia; his grandmother, Elizabeth Patton of St. Petersburg, FL; his nieces, Lindsy and Rory Bedell of Glastonbury, and Ann Bailey of Columbia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends; and his dog and best friend, Nikki. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Virginia Darby of Glastonbury.
