Funeral services for Judith Tolleson Ayers, 68, of Heflin, will be 1 p.m. today, October 1, 2010, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Deryl Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Post Oak Springs Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Ayers died Wednesday at her residence.
Survivors include three daughters, Sherry Harris, of Heflin, Selena Vickery and husband, Bobby, of Jacksonville and Shelley Newell and husband, Gary, of Piedmont; one sister, Rita Boozer and husband, Scottie, of Jacksonville, one brother, David Tolleson, of Jacksonville; eleven grandchildren, Destiny Ayers, Cody Allen Ayers, Taylor Wade Ayers, Jozie Cole Ayers, Amber Vickery Russell, Tara Vickery, Jeremy Baldwin, Jaimie Baldwin, Jared Baldwin, Corey Harris and Kyle Newell; seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ayers is preceded in death by her son, Allen Wade Ayers; brother, William Owen Tolleson, and parents, Gladys and Bunch Tolleson. Pallbearers will be nephews.
Mrs. Ayers was a native of Calhoun County and a resident of Heflin for the past year. She was a member of Post Oak Springs Baptist Church.
