Theora Craver Leonard, 96, formerly of Tussey Street, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Lexington Health Care.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Second Reformed Church of Christ, where she was a member, by the Rev. Dr. Joe Coltrane. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at 702 Tussey St.

Mrs. Leonard was born Sept. 16, 1914, to Walter C. Craver and Elma Nance Craver. She was a former employee at Coble Dairy and Dixie Furniture and was a homemaker. She also was a member of the Esther Circle at her church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Connie Leonard in 1998; son Wayne Leonard in 1992; daughter-in-law Carolyn Leonard; brothers Otis Craver and Foy Craver; sisters Genieve Swing, Irene Palmer and Mary Hayes; and great-grandchild Sarah Hege.

Surviving are son Lindsey Leonard and wife Linda of Lexington; daughter Donna Davis and husband Gene of Lexington; four grandchildren, Misty Davis Ray and husband Chris of Thomasville, Matthew Leonard Davis Sr. and Wanda Leonard Hege, both of Lexington, and Carol Leonard Everhart and husband Steve of Welcome; great-grandchildren Lindsey Ray and Blake Ray, both of Thomasville, Matthew Leonard Davis Jr., Candi Vandermark and Marcie Johnson, all of Lexington, Anna McWilliams and husband Brendan of Florida, Allison Greeson and husband Tim of Wilmington, Keri Everhart of Winston-Salem and Daniel Everhart of Asheville; and four great-great-grandchildren.
