Wife of Dr. Lester C. Grady. They had a son, Edwin B. Grady.

*** Bessie Ritchey Cox Grady: She died at age 23 leaving a child named Edwin B. Grady. Her husband, Dr. Lester C. Grady, remarried about 1905 and had a daughter. One day Dr. Grady went on a house call, taking his son and another little boy. This friend accidentally fatally shot Edwin. It is said that Dr. Grady disappeared and nobody heard from him again. In the 1920 his second wife, Susie, is listed as a widow.

I have tracked Susie's location in every census through 1940 and learned that her grandson from her daughter by Dr. Grady died last year.

Sincerely,
Mildred Cox Vuris
