Miss Cynthia Stanford 1938 Bridgewater Bulletin

Chester, April 25-

Word has been received here of the death at Pacific Grove, California, of Miss Cynthia Stanford, aged 80 years, a member of a prominent pioneer Chester family. Miss Stanford was a native of Chester and had resided here for 50 years before going to California to make her home with her sister, Miss Alma, 30 years ago. For many years she conducted a millinery establishment here and is kindly remembered by the older residents of the community. The late Miss Stanford is survived by three brothers, Robert Stanford, Dartmouth; John and Humphrey Stanford, Chester; and Miss Alma Stanford, Pacific Grove, California.

Two other sisters, Miss Annie Stanford, for many years postmistress at Chester, and Miss Mary Stanford, California; and two brothers, James and Harry, Chester, predeceased her by several years. Interment took place in California.
