L.B. Carlton Alexander

L.B. Carlton Alexander of Marietta, OK was born April 23, 1930, at Terral, OK, the son of Ben and Ruby McKee Alexander. He passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 80.
Mr. Alexander returned to Love County 10 years ago to make his home. At the age of 18 he moved to California, served 18 years in the U.S. Army and was employed as a tank truck driver for Gallo Winery of California. Mr. Alexander also enjoyed playing guitar in a band. He was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Shirley Alexander; and sister, Yvonne Alexander.
He is survived by two sons, Darren Alexander of Redding, CA and Ben Alexander Forsythe of Wilson, OK; daughter, Lisa Dunham, also of Redding; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lavern Turner of Wilson and Sharron and Preston McGehee of Marietta; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Serving as casket bearers will be Preston H. McGehee, Gregg McGehee, Allen Jackson, Ben Forsythe, Jason Jackson, Preston McGehee and Wayne Alexander. Honorary bearer is Dr. Tom O'Connor.
