Funeral services for Patricia were held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 18th with Joe Frankenfield officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice.
Patricia was the daughter of Rollie and Loretta (Lytle) Harrold. She married Jack B. Anson of Evansville, IN, whom she met at CMU shortly after he returned from three years' service in the Navy during WWII, on May 17, 1947 in Clare. They enjoyed a happy marriage of nearly 64 years.
Patricia was a graduate of Clare High School and CMU, where she was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi sorority. She worked as a paraprofessional for the Mt. Pleasant public school system for over 17 years, retiring in 1985. She and Jack actively supported education and were instrumental in fundraising to support the Michigan Public Schools Employee Retirement System headquarters building in Lansing. A scholarship to CMU students graduating from MPHS, the Jack B. and Patricia J. Anson Scholarship, annually recognizes a graduating MPHS senior headed for CMU. Patricia was also a member of the Child Study Club and helped establish the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel. Earlier in life she spent her time at ballparks, football stadiums and gymnasiums following her three sons' athletic endeavors. Later on she enjoyed working at home, decorating, going to flea markets, and visiting her three sons and their families in Fairfax, VA, El Paso, TX, and San Diego, CA.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Jack; children, Steven J. (Candis Gross) Anson of El Paso, TX, Todd J. (Terri Cole) Anson of Coronado, CA, and Timothy F. (Kristi Vincent) Anson of Fairfax, VA; 6 grandchildren, TJ, Kyle, Chris, Ryan, Brian and Kaelyn Anson; and half brothers, Robert Harrold of Tennessee and Richard Harrold of Arizona; as well as a special cousin, Mark Field of St. Peters, MO.
