Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 55 years, and was a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the Cherokee Historical Society.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from the Shoal Creek Baptist Church with Rev. James Gilbert and Rev. Ken Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her children, Roberta Lee, Leon Lusk, and Melissa Lusk. Survivors include her husband, Austin A. Sullivan of Canton; children, Willis Lusk of Waco, GA, Charles Lusk of Canton, Toni Long of Canton, Karen Spiers of Acworth, Steve Lusk of Heflin, AL, Brad Lusk of Canton, Amanda Sisk and Suzanne Pendley both of Calhoun; honorary son, Mac McCollum of Fort Payne, AL; brother, Jack Free of Canton; sister, Jean Pendley of Tate; 14 grandchildren and many descendants also survive.
