Mrs. Ira Teter Dies Here Thurs.

Mr. Ira Teter, 71, of Lusk died in the Niobrara County Hospital March 12 from a cerebral hemorrhage. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from Peet Chapel with Dallas Swisher officiating. Burial was in the Harrison Cemetery. Mrs. A. F. DeCastro and Mrs. Emerson Bonner sang "Safe In The Arms of Jesus" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mr. J. P. Watson was organist. Pallbearers were Anthon Hansen, Roy Turnbull, Floyd Simon, Rulo Roberts, Everett Allen and Frank Taylor.
Anne Florence Umphenour was born January 14, 1888 at Portis, Kans, the daughter of Francis and Margaret Umphenour. Most of her childhood was spent in Kansas and Oklahoma moving to Harrison briefly and then back to Kansas where she married Ira J. Teter on February 27, 1901. One daughter was born to them.
They homesteaded northeast of Lusk in March, 1917 and made their home there until 1945 when they moved to Lusk and have since resided. Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Albert Meier of Keeline; a step-son, Allen Teter of Hutchinson, Kan.; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Three sisters and six brothers previously died.
