Verle Still, 93, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002. Born Feb. 15, 1909, in St. John, Kan., she was a resident of Carlsbad for 28 years. She retired in 1994 as a piano teacher and church organist. Mrs. Still was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Still. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Frank Nielsen of Oceanside and Kay and Bob Foote of Naperville, Ill.; grandchildren Kathy Aozula, Lisa Sims, Lynn Kniveton, Kelly Hardt and Tracy Qua; and 13 great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation and viewing from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 18, at Eternal Hills. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 19, at Eternal Hills. Chaplain Ted Herrman will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Eternal Hills Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations to the United Church of Lake San Marcos, Box 4112, Lake San Marcos, CA 92008.
