Funeral services were held for Emil Hruzek, 65, of East Bernard, at the Urbish Funeral Home at 9:45 a.m., and the Holy Cross Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 23. Msgr. Joseph A. Valenta officiated at the Requiem high mass at the church and during interment in the Guardian Angel Cemetery in Wallace.
Death came to him January 19 at home at 9 a.m. He had been in failing health for several months. During most of his active life, he farmed.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Emil (Betty) Hruzek of East Bernard; and seven children, two sons, Emil Hruzek, Jr., who is in the Army, recently returning from Germany and now reassigned to a base in Massachusetts, and Joe Hruzek of Houston; five daughters, Mrs. Frances Fajkus of Wallis, Mrs. Betty Lampkin of Sheldon, Mrs. Cecilia Nuttle of Chicago, and Mrs. Vera Hinze of East Bernard; 22 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; also one brother, Anton Hruzek of Louise.
