Memorial services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Sunset Chapel of the Taft Funeral Home for Bertha Opal Price, 92. Private interment will be in the West Side District Cemetery. A reception will be held following the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Price was born in Lyn Creek, Missouri, October 16, 1901, and passed away Sunday, January 23, 1994, at a local Taft hospital.

She moved to Springfield as a young adult and in 1922 came to LaHabra. She moved to Taft in 1929 and in 1962 moved to Grants Pass, Oregon returning to Taft in 1985.

She owned and operated restaurants for many years. She loved to grow her own vegetables and then can them herself. She enjoyed sewing and working on crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude E. Price, in 1984 and a son, Leslie E. Price, in 1981. Her survivors include a daughter and son in law, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

No visitation will be held.
