Ruth M. Troupe, 84, of 17942 Oak Ridge Drive in Hagerstown, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Gilchrist Center in Baltimore. Born June 4, 1922, in Hagers-town, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Julia A. Neibert Hogan. Her husband, Clair H. Troupe, died Feb. 3, 2005. She was employed with Sears, Roebuck and Co. for 23 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in Hagerstown, where she was a member and former teacher of the Comrades Sunday School Class and had been a member of the church choir. She was a member of AARP. She is survived by one daughter, Tonya Sapre of Hunt Valley, Md.; two sons, William Cauffman of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Larry Troupe of Richmond, Va.; one stepdaughter, Peggy Eyler of Falling Waters, W.Va.; four sisters, Betty Meeker and Naomi Horn, both of Hagerstown, Julia Donovan of New York, and Doris McCallum of Rockville, Md.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Haines, Mildred Weller and Mary Knicley; and two brothers, Robert Hogan and John Hogan. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. MaAn H. Barcelo of Eastport United Methodist Church in Annapolis will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, 505 W. Franklin St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
