Willie Earlene (Brown) Gunter
Willie Earlene (Brown) Gunter, 83, of La Grange and formerly of Burnet, passed away on Feb. 18 at St. Mark's Medical Center in La Grange.
Willie was born in Eastland, Texas on Nov. 26, 1927, the daughter of the late Thomas and Abbie Pearl (Smith) Brown. She married Bedney William Gunter on June 7, 1961 in Wichita Falls.
She is survived by daughter, Darlene Runnels and husband Robert, and son, William "Butch" Gunter, all of Burnet; seven grandchildren, Desa Hinds, Amanda White, Denver Hinds, William, Kristenann, and Thomas Gunter and Devin Runnels; seven great grandchildren; son-in-law, Daryl Hinds and special friend, Julia Petzold.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bedney, and one daughter, Ruby Pearlene Hinds.
Visitation will be held on Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Koenig and Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange.
Funeral services were held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Feb. 22. The burial was held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 23, at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco, Texas.
