Mr. Kenneth W. Russell, 70, of Woodbine, died Wednesday, March 13, at his home. He was the husband of Sandra M. Russell.

Born May 30, 1920, in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Ella M. and William E. Russell.

Mr. Russell had served in the U.S. Army during World War II and had retired from the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics where he had worked as an electrical engineer.

Surviving besides his wife are two children, William E. "Bill" Russell of Washington, D.C. and Sandra Ardell Cox of Leesburg, Va.; one granddaughter, Erin Kidd of Leesburg, Va.; and one brother, Everett J. Russell of Silver Spring.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, March 18, at the Barber Funeral 21525 Laytonsville Road, Laytonsville. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
