Mrs. William Swank Dead.
The remains of Mrs.Elizabeth Swank
were brought from Lincoln county,
Kansas, last night to Udell for burial.
The funeral occurred today. The deaceased
was the widow of the late William Swank,
who was an early settler of the county,
having come to Appanoose county in 1846.
Her maiden name was Elizbeth Etmore, who was
born in Montgomery County, Ohio. She
married William Swank in 1844 in
Warren county, Ohio, and two years
later moved to this county. Her husband
died some five or six years ago.
Since her husband's death she has been
living with her children in Kansas.
had nine children, most of whom are
still living, some of them now residents
of this county. Mrs. Swank will be
remembered by many of the older residents of
the county. She wan buried
in Eaton cemetery.
