MRS. NANCY BABER
Nancy J. Baber, daughter of John and Anna Covert Hopkins, was born at Eagleville, Mo., Feb. 27, 1876, and died Jan. 7, 1960 at the Yocom Hospital in Chariton.
She was married to Walter J. Baber of Carlisle, Ia., Oct. 14, 1896. For many years they farmed near Derby, Ia.
Mrs. Baber was a member of the First Methodist Church of Chariton and of the Women's Society of Christian Service.
Preceding her in death were her husband and one son, Arthur.
She is survived by three sons, Sewell and Leonard of Chariton and Lloyd of Eldon; one daughter, Mrs. Edward Stone of Burlington; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Lester Hall at the Beardsley Funeral Home Saturday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Chariton cemetery.
