Daniel Alden was born January 29th, 1691 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co, MA, the eldest son of Joseph and Hannah Dunham Alden.
Daniel was married to Abigail Shaw, daughter of Joseph Shaw and Judith Whitmarsh of Weymouth, Norfolk, Massachusetts. They were married in Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts on 25 December, 1717.

Daniel and Abigail were parents of 10 children all born in Bridgewater:

The family moved to Stafford, Connecticut in the early 1750's, where Daniel was a farmer and a magistrate. His wife Abigail died here in 1755. Daniel remarried about 1756 to the widow Rebekkah (Curtis?) Cantice, who died in March of 1765. Daniel died May 3rd, 1767 in Stafford.
