Dr. Harold F. McGinnis
Died at his home in Norborne, Missouri, Saturday, June 5, after an illness of more than a week. The body was brought to Warrensburg, arriving here Sunday afternoon, after which the funeral was held at the Baptist church conducted by Rev. G. L. Hale, after which the interment took place at City Cemetery, under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity. Dr. McGinnis' death came as a great shock to his mother, Mrs. Sophia McGinnis of this city, and also to his many friends in north Johnson county, where he formerly practiced medicine. He was 42 years of age, and a successful physician. After leaving Hoffman some years ago he practiced in Higginsville several years after which he removed to Norborne, where he was very successful until overtaken with a fatal illness. Dr. McGinnis was a faithful member of the Baptist church and a man of strong physique, strong purpose, and large influence. He is survived by his wife and on little son, an aged mother and two brothers, Dr. Charles McGinnis of St. Louis and Dr. Clyde McGinnis, also a St. Louis medical student.
