Don Walter Lee, 86, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, in Arlington. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, the Rev. Eugene Robertson officiating. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home. Don was born April 20, 1924, in Okmulgee, Okla., to Homer Lee and Annabelle Wilcoxin Lee. He was reared in Brady. Don married Frances Elayne Lawler, his high school sweetheart, on May 3, 1942, in Fort Worth. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a senior master sergeant prior to working for and retiring from the United State Postal Service. A resident of Arlington since 1965, he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and past president and life member of the Arlington Men's Gardens Club.
Survivors: Wife, Frances Elayne Lee; son, Don Dwayne Lee and wife, Barbara; daughters, Sharron Elayne Dillon and Constance Healer; grandchildren, Shana Elayne Healer, Thomas Lee Healer, Heather Diane Lee and Robert Forrest Lee; and great-grandchildren, Abigale Grace Lee, Byron Nathaniel Lee, Rachel Elaine Healer and Hayden Michele Healer.
