Winnifred Bowman, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 8, in the Livingston Convalescent Center in Livingston.
She was born July 28, 1910, the daughter of William O. and Etta E. Smith in Zanesville, Ohio. She married Jesse Bowman on July 26, 1926, and they came west to Big Timber and the surrounding area. In her middle years, she left Montana to take up residence with some of her children, eventually returning to live out her remaining years in Montana.
She is survived by three sons; John of Monteview Idaho, Dennis and Lee of Reed Point, Montana; four daughters Anna Todd and Mary Norris of Zanesville, Ohio, Editha Nahonce of Eugene, Oregon, and Ruth Haag of Henderson, Nevada; 28 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the Lowry Funeral Home with burial in Mountain View Cemetery
