Roy Elmer Cravens, 70, native of Anna, died September 10 1966 in the Methodist Hospital, Dallas. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Monday in Crouch-Moore Chapel, Rev. Glenn Bridges of Melissa officiating with burial in the Brinlee Cemetery.
He was born October 12, 1895 in Anna, the son of Mann and Sarah Cravens, was a Baptist and veteran of World War 1. He lived in Dallas at 1015 S. Beckley and was a food inspector with the Dallas County Health Department.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mossie Cravens ; son, Eugene Cravens of Dallas ; two brothers, Arthur Cravens of Rockwall and Johnny Cravens of California ; four sisters, Mrs. Winnie Bledsoe of Waco, Mrs. Pearl Bacon of Gunter, Mrs. Lela Holcomb of Sherman and Mrs. Ethel Davis of California.
