Robert Lee Bowman, 87, of Hebron, died May 8 at St. Luke Hospital West. He retired in 1969, after 35 years as a real estate agent/broker. He owned Bowman Real Estate Co. in Hebron. He attended Hopeful Lutheran Church in Florence and was a member of Hebron Masonic Lodge No. 757.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Wilson Bowman; a daughter, Lucille Lang of Kenton Vale; a son Robert Lee Bowman Jr. of Burlington, brothers: Albert Bowman, Hobert Bowman, Edward Bowman, Willard Bowman and Homer Bowman, all of Beattyville, and Herbert Bowman of Winchester; sisters: Hattie Barret of Norwood, Ohio, Anna Mae Snyder of Hamilton, Ohio, and Dora Seale of Booneville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Newman Funeral Home, Beattyville. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington, is in charge of local arrangements. Burial will be in Shepherd Cemetery, Booneville.

Robert Lee Bowman, Sr., 87, of Hebron, KY, passed away, Friday, May 8 at St. Luke Hospital in Florence, KY.
He was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on September 6, 1904, the son of Green and Susie Young Bowman. He was a member of the Hebron Masonic Lodge No. 757 and the McGuire Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are his wife, Debbie Bowman, Hebron, KY; one son, Robert Lee Bowman, Jr., Burlington, KY; one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Lucille) Lang of Covington, KY; six brothers: Edd Bowman, Hobart Bowman, Albert Bowman, Homer Bowman, and Willard Bowman, all of Beattyville, and Hubert Bowman of Winchester; three sisters: Hattie Barrett, Norwood, OH, Anna Mae Snyder, Hamilton, OH, Dora Seale, Booneville, KY; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Robert Lee Bowman, Sr., were held Monday, May 11, 1992 at 1 p.m. in the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry W. Owen and Rev. David Shockey officiating. Burial followed in Shepherd Cemetery at Booneville, KY.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Bowman, Johnnie Bowman, Earl Seale, Sam Bowman, Clarence Bowman, Harold Bailey and Lennie Lang. Honorary pallbearers were Neville Shackelford, Charlie Tirey, Carl Stepp, Wm Abner, Jr., Gary Lutes, James Combs, and Sam Wilson.
