Tuesday Whitney and surrounding communities were saddened Monday when a message came that Billie Louise Holt 15 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noble Holt of Big Lake had suddenly passed away. Billie Louise was born and reared in Huron where she attended school until her family moved to Big Springs in 1937, later moving to Big Lake. She was loved by all who knew her and death claiming this young flower.
The body was brought over land to Whitney Monday night by the Robert Mansey Funeral Home and services where held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church conducted by R.A. Scranton pastor of the Big Lake Baptist Church assisted by Rev. Charles E. Wilkens and Rev. F.E. Weller. Interment was in Fort Graham Cemetery.
Surviving besides the parents, sister Hollis, her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jim Epps of Huron, and many other relatives in this vicinity.
