Helen V. Farrow, 79, died July 1, 1999, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Farrow was born in Norfolk and was the daughter of the late Charles H. Wright and Katie Wallace Wright. Mrs. Farrow was a member of Lynnhaven Colony Congregational Church in Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Griffin; and a son, George Farrow Jr.
Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Stackhouse and Joyce Ewell, both of Virginia Beach, Janet Grissett of Knotts Island, N.C.; two sons, Chuck Farrow of Williamsburg and Al Farrow of Hampton; two sisters, Betty Cornelius and Elizabeth Gay, both of Tyner, N.C.; one brother, Richard Wright of Chesapeake; six grandchildren, Lori Hudson, Ken Stackhouse, Joni Farrow, Tim Ewell, Katie and Brian Farrow; one great-grandchild, Kelan Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A chapel service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by Pastor David Ford. Burial will be at Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 945, Virginia Beach VA 23451.
