Brensinger, Charles A.
Charles A. Brensinger, a lifelong resident of Longswamp, died at his residence in Longswamp township, near Pilgert's school house, Friday morning at 3.50 o'clock, aged 63 years, 10 months and 18 days. He was a member of Longswamp Lutheran church. There survive his wife Catherine, nee Freeby, five sons, Edward and John, of Hensingersville; Charles, of Longswamp; Nathan and Amandus, at home; six daughters, Cora, wife of Charles Meck; Harriet, wife of Webster Boyer; Mary, wife of Edwin Fenstermacher, all of Longswamp; Hattie, wife of Clarence Guinther, Bowers; Ada and Lilly, at home; one brother, Senior, of Fredericksville; four sisters, Pricilla, wife of Chester King, Allentown. Funeral services will be held from his late home in Longswamp township on Tuesday morning at 9.30 o'clock. Services at the house followed by further services in Longswamp church. Interment in the adjoining cemetery, Rev. William F. Bond, officiating. Funeral Director Jacob Schofer, of Topton, has charge.

The remains of Charles Abraham Brensinger, a well known farmer, of Longswamp, were laid at rest at the Longswamp Church on Tuesday morning, Oct. 9, with a large following of relatives and friends. The deceased was a son of Henry Brensinger and wife, Hattie, (nee Oswald) and was born in the same house in which he died, on November 17, 1859. Baptized by Rev. Wm. A. Helfrich, D.D., Jan. 16, 1860. Confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Longswamp Church during early life by Rev. D. K. Humbert. On May 23, 1885, he was joined in marriage to Catharine E. Freely by the same pastor. Of six sons and seven daughters, all are living excepting one of each. During his younger years he served as Sunday school superintendent in this locality. For many weeks he was a patient sufferer from abnormal conditions of his blood, and he passed away on Friday at 3.50 a.m., Oct. 5, aged 63 years, 10 months and 18 days. There remain his wife, 5 sons, 6 daughters, one brother, one sister and twelve grandchildren. J. J. Schaffer & Son, of Topton, were in charge. The pallbearers were four sons and two sons-in-law, Edwin, John, Chas. And Nathan Brensinger, Clarence Guinther and Sylvester Boyer.
