Artois Sevy Dykman Gardner, age 90, died September 6, 1999, in Sandy, Utah.
She was born February 2, 1909, in Panguitch, Utah, to Thomas and Amy Clark Sevy. She married Alonzo LeGrande Dykman in 1930. He died in 1963. She married Clive Douglas Gardner in 1970. He died in 1987. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She served faithfully in many LDS Church callings. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1958 and was a school librarian for many years.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas (Nancy), Murray; Robert (Claudia), Midvale; and Victor (Diane), Sandy; and a daughter-in-law, Dee Ann, Taylorsville; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol, and a son, William. She is also survived by a stepson, Weston (Renee) Gardner, Red Oaks, Texas; and a stepdaughter, Cheryl (Howard) Pearson, Spanish Fork; 11 step-grandchildren, 31 step great- grandchildren, and nine step great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Sharon Spencer. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Henrie, Panguitch; and Vera Fotheringham, Salt Lake City. The family wishes to thank Sandy Regional Care Center for their many kindnesses.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 1999, at 2 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn.
