Bridget was born to Michael and Bridget (Donaghy) Jennings. In 1830, she moved in Canada, where she for a period of time. On, August 7, 1848, she married James O'Connor west of Montreal.

In 1854, Bridget and her husband moved to the area of New Lisbon, Wisconsin and spent nineteen years living there. They were parents to eleven children. Then, the family eventually settled in Union County, Dakota Territory in 1873.

She was preceeded in death by her husband and two children.
