Marilyn Lynn Davidson, 60, of Pawnee, passed away at 10:34 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011 at St. John's Hospital.

Marilyn was born January 31, 1951 in Tuscola, the daughter of Gail and Ruby Smith Cook. She married John Davidson on November 18, 1972 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Springfield.

Marilyn was a graduate of Tuscola High School and was a server at Denny's for 20 years. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Her prize possession was her 1992 Camero and she enjoyed collecting Betty Boop, pottery, Santa Claus, Coca-Cola, chickens and decorating in colonial style. Her favorite tv shows were Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, Becker and Two & A Half Men. Marilyn was a very loving mother and absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Gail Cook, Jr; two grandchildren, Matthew Davidson and Andrew Davidson; and her father-in-law, John Davidson, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, John Davidson of Pawnee; ten children, Paul (Greta) Davidson of Pawnee, Nate (Teresa) Davidson of Springfield, Melissa Davidson of Pawnee, John (Cathy) Davidson of Virden, Joe (Susie) Davidson of Taylorville, Michelle (Joseph) Davidson of Pawnee, Chad (Brittany) Davidson of Pawnee, Jeremy (Breezy) Davidson of Tovey, Megan (Brent) Davidson of Decatur and Melinda (Jason) Davidson of Chatham; mother, Ruby Cook of Savoy; twenty-eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill (Markie) Cook of Tuscola; one sister, Brenda (Gene) Ankenbrand of Champaign; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. The visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Stevenson Dr., Springfield, with Rev. Msgr. John R. Ossola celebrant.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
