Funeral services were held for Laverne Martin Newcomer, 23, of Leedey, OK; Monday afternoon at the First Methodist Espiscopal church, at that place.
Mr. Newcomer was reared near Leedey, having come there with his parents, when he was three years of age. He was born at Osceola, Nebraska, August 29, 1907. He was married to Miss Helen Burks, January 20, 1922.
Surviving Mr. Newcomer are his widow, Mrs. Newcomer and a small daughter,(Virginia J.) his parents, and four brothers and five sisters.
Interment was made in the Red Star Cemetery. Killough-Hullum, funeral directors, were in charge.
